Již 20 let nabízí ANGLO-AMERICKÁ VYSOKÁ ŠKOLA, o.p.s., (AAVŠ), která je nejstarší soukromou vysokou školou v České republice, kvalitní vysokoškolské vzdělání v anglickém jazyce. V současné době má Anglo-americká vysoká škola přes 700 studentů. Od svého založení v roce 1990 zde studovali a studují posluchači z více než šesti desítek zemí celého světa. Struktura přednášejících je rovněž mezinárodní. Na AAVŠ působí odborníci s doktoráty z Yale, Stanfordu a dalších prestižních, nejen amerických, univerzit. Absolventi školy se úspěšně uplatnili a uplatňují na domácím trhu i v zahraničí, ať už jako podnikatelé či vedoucí pracovníci národních a nadnárodních společností, organizací, institucí i diplomatických služeb.
Svým multikulturním založením a komorním studijním prostředím vytváří Anglo–americká vysoká škola jedinečný prostor pro kvalitní vzdělávání. Výuka probíhá pouze v anglickém jazyce a je založena na amerických a britských tradicích. AAVŠ vytváří interaktivní prostředí v malých studijních skupinách, kde je kladen důraz na samostatné myšlení, exaktní uvažování a vytříbení dovednosti psaného i mluveného projevu.
AAVŠ sídlí v krásných historických palácích Maltézských rytířů nedaleko Karlova mostu a také v dalších prostorách v budově Letenské 1, kde je umístěna nová knihovna AAVŠ a tři učební místnosti. Všechny 3 paláce (Lázeňská 4, Lázeňská 2, Letenská 1) jsou umístěny v nejpůvabnější části Malé Strany v krátké docházkové vzdálenosti od sebe.

Students will also be able to discuss and understand political and social behavior from the various and diverse points of view in political, social and cultural theory, as well as from historical and psychological perspectives.Upon completion of the Politics and Society program graduates will have not only acquired a strong understanding of social and political European affairs, they will also have a solid background in the historical philosophy and modern principles which underlie Western democracy. Our graduates are flexible individuals who are able to successfully adjust to Europe's changing political and social enviroment. Furthermore, these students develop strong analytical and comparative skills, enabling them to pursue careers in a wide range of social service areas, including political, governmental, and non-profit organizations, and bilingual media. AAU (Politics and Society) graduates currently work as administrative assistants in international governmental organizations such as the Delegation of the European Commission; research assistants in the federal government, Parliamant of the Czech Republic; research workers and public relations specialists in multinational companies such as SPT Telecom, and SC Johnson; and often as writers, translators, and researchers for local and international media such as Transitions, Prague Post, Czech Business Weekly and Radio Free Europe. For graduates wanting to study further, there are study opportunities at M.A programs regionally and abroad. Most recently, AAU Politics and Society graduates have been accepted into the program of International Relations at London School of Economics, the program in International Relations and Diplomacy at Schiller University (London), and Central European University. Studijní program: Public Policy (N6807) Typ studia: Navazující magisterské Forma studia: Prezenční Délka studia: 2 Zaměření: Humanitní (Filosofické) Náplň oboru: MA in Public Policy focuses on three main regulators of the society: state, private sector and market.The goal of the program is to provide the students the knowledge of public policy as well as fundamentals of strategic governance and applied sociology.The program will prepare the students for professional careers in both national and international settings. Graduates will be particularly prepared to work with various public policy issues within the framework of European Union law and institutions.Graduates will be specialists qualified to work in the area of labor markets, environmental agendas, media, health care and social care, education and family issues, pensions, inequalities, minorities, immigration, as well as in the activities of urban and rural transformations.Graduates will be able to identify and evaluate main trends, problems and potential conflicts at both national and global levels. Special attention will be directed toward negative aspects such as corruption, clientelism, organized crime, conflicts and societal threats.Graduates will be prepared for employment at highly professional levels, or they can choose to continue their studies in post-graduate programs at universities in the Czech Republic or abroad.The program seeks applications from BA or MA programs in Public Policy, Social Policy, Social Work, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, Law, Economy, Anthropology, Psychology, International Relations, History, Business Administration and other social sciences and humanities. Applications from other fields of study will be considered as well.In order to graduate the students of MA in Public Policy have to take 20 courses: 15 required courses, 4 electives and a research practicum or internship. Each semester consists of 5 courses. The Students can enroll in fewer courses than five but would need additional time to graduate.
