Náplň programu/oboru:
Students of the Mathematics MA study programme can continue their studies in the Mathematics doctoral study programme at our faculty. They can also continue their doctoral studies in Mathematics or another similar discipline at a different university. The Mathematics MA study programme is realized in the following study plans: 1. Mathematics specialisation 2. Fuzzy Mathematics specialisation The aim of the Mathematics study programme is to provide education and expertise that enable its graduates to think individually and logically, abstract and mathematise real problems and solve the problems using both mathematical methods and computer technology. Further, the aim is to train the graduates to interpret their results correctly. The graduates will possess skills necessary to work both individually and in a team, they will be able to extend their knowledge and qualification and they will master presentation and communication skills in English. The Mathematics MA study programme consists of two study plans. The first one is designed for Mathematics specialisation, while the other one is for Fuzzy Mathematics. The two study plans share certain topics; therefore, their graduates acquire deep knowledge of general mathematical disciplines and methods. However, the Mathematics specialisation further extends graduates´ general knowledge and deepen their knowledge of mathematical disciplines, their interconnections and applications. On the other hand, the Fuzzy Mathematics specialisation provides its graduates with deeper knowledge and general knowledge of current trends in conventional mathematical areas. Special emphasis is put on mathematical structures, models and methods that enable work with different kinds of mathematical uncertainty.
