Náplň programu/oboru:
The Doctoral degree programme in Horticulture is a preparation for an independent scientific, research and other creative professional professions in the field, with a focus on related areas in biotechnology – gardening production, post-harvest and processing technology. The aim of the programme is especially to deepen and expand the professional profile of graduates of the Master degree programme in Horticulture Engineering or related programmes (in an agricultural or biological area) with an emphasis on the development of the student’s potential in the scientific, publication and presentation areas. Deepening of the theoretical foundations together with targeted specialized profiling will be a prerequisite for preparing graduates to understand the principles of creative activities in wider scientific and geographic contexts. To this end, the preparation of students will be carried out in a global language and will include work with up-to-date international literature. The aim of the studies will also be to improve the educational capabilities of graduates as a prerequisite for their future application not only in scientific but also in educational institutions.
