The study programme is designed as academic, focusing on contemporary philosophy of science and technology and philosophy of language and mind with an overlap to cognitive science, cybernetics, and computer science, taking into account the foundations and methods of the analytic and post-analytic philosophical traditions as well as the phenomenological and hermeneutic traditions. The programme aims at the philosophical exploration of the nature and transformations of human thought and language in the context of current developments in cybernetics and computer science, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), automatic speech recognition (ASR), human-machine interaction (HMI), automation, and Industry 4.0.
